Nuttall’s Pondweed Commonly Asked Questions

Nuttall’s pondweed is an invasive alien species of aquatic plant (macrophyte) that originates from North America. It was first recorded in Northern Ireland in 1984 on the west side of Lough Neagh. Its preferred habitat is slow flowing water in which it can grow up to a depth of 3 metres.
